Peter's sermon in Act's 10 was addressed to people very much like many folks in our modern culture. They knew a lot about God, but there was a huge disconnect between what they knew, what they believed, and what they had personally experienced.

So God sent them Peter to tell them that they did not have to remain dissatisfied seekers of the truth. They could experience the truth and they could experience the power of the resurrection - a power that gives freedom and forgiveness.

What does the resurrection of Jesus mean to us? It means one of two things: Jesus is alive and awaits you as your judge, or, Jesus is alive and awaits you as your deliverer.
